This Saturday

I will be there demonstrating and selling my cornhusk dolls while my brother Nathaniel Samsel plays the mountain dulcimer. Nathaniel is 2011 Southern Regional Dulcimer Champion and will have his CDs for sale.

I hope to see you there!

Sincerely,

Sarah Samsel

Traditional decorations and garlands will adorn the Nacoochee cabin and Christmas trees. Bees wax, cinnamon, and balsam will infuse the cabin with aromas of the yuletide season. The soft glow of lanterns and the ambience of an antebellum cabin warmed by a fire on the stone hearth will transport visitors to an earlier time.

Tours of the cabin, music and caroling, candy canes, and visits with jolly old St. Nick are free to visitors. Mulled cider, gingerbread, and hand-crafted ornaments will be available, including corn shuck crèche characters and creatures. Local musicians will perform traditional tunes and songs from just before dusk until just after dark. Music and caroling around the bonfire may continue until the fire is extinguished.

Christmas at the Cabin Saturday, December 1, 2012, 3:00-7:00pm
