Today

Today is a beautiful, rainy day! I hope to work on a pressed-flower picture at my studio this afternoon and  a cornhusk doll at home in front of the TV this evening.

Happy, Upset, Excited, Angry, Impressed, Unimpressed, Enthusiastic, Annoyed?

After I made this cat I thought it looked a little goofy- more like a puppy than a cat. I asked a friend (John Kollock) why. He said, “It’s because it’s smiling, cats don’t smile. You never know what they’re thinking”. So I made my cat less smiley in an effort to add mystery to its character.

This picture is made of: birch, palm, pampas grass, cotton, maple, aucuba, banana peel, basil and mica.
